This poem was inspired by my youngest daughter.
Come and play in my sandbox
There's room for you to play
We'll build our dreams
On this Summer's Eve
In the coolness of the day
Come and play in my sandbox
There's always room for you
We'll squish our toes
In the copper snow
And watch tides of green and blue
Come and play in my sandbox
There's room at least for one
We'll play for hours
While our souls devour
The warmth of the setting sun
Come and play in my sandbox
I built it just for you
We'll share our smiles
And share our trials
And leave as someone new
Come and play in my sandbox
Where the laughter never ends
I'll save your old space
In our favorite old place
When you need to be a child again
Come and play in my sandbox
